POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Shuttle Drivers pull doubles and operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods between locations. They are responsible for safely navigating predetermined routes and ensuring the timely delivery or pickup of cargo. Shuttle Drivers with Doubles Endorsement are crucial for maintaining the flow of operations and meeting the transportation needs of the organization. They must maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to all safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Must possess a valid Class A Driver's License with doubles endorsements.
Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards. Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements under section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier (FMCSA) regulations
Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator
Ability to follow instructions and complete required training.
Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
Adhere to a Schedule Ability to understand and adhere to an assigned schedule
Time Management Skills - Managing one's own time.
Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in and out of truck
Physical ability to lift, carry, and position: up to 30 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift.
Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
Working in multiple environments and inclement weather
Work Environment:
Work hours may vary, or change based on department requirements.
Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 80 pounds frequently.
Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting to 100 lbs.
Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a GPS monitored vehicle.
Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
